Google Workspace
This section will show you how to authorize your files to allow Rollstack access and add Google Slides or Google Docs files
Authorize Google Drive
If you are new to Rollstack, You can select a Google Destination, either Google Docs or Google Slides
You will then be prompted to authorize your Google Drive
Our Rollstack Google OAuth connection is verified and annually reviewed by Google Cloud.
The scope of the connection is limited to the drive.file scope => This means that we ONLY have access to the files you select in the Google Drive Picker inside Rollstack
Authorize Single Files
Rollstack only has access to the files that you explicitly authorize through the Google Drive picker inside Rollstack.
Otherwise, you won't be able to access the destination within the context of Rollstack.
In case you are invited by a teammate to collaborate on a destination using the share functionality, you will need to manually authorize the file
Option 1
- Open the destination context menu
- Click on Authorize
- Select the file in the Google Drive Picker
Option 2
- Click on the destination
- If we cannot access the destination, the destination is either deleted or unauthorized
- You will be prompted to authorize the file
Google Slides
Once you authorize your Google Drive, you can select a Google Slides file and connect it to Rollstack.
Google Docs
Once you authorize your Google Drive, you can select a Google Docs file and connect it to Rollstack.
File Restrictions
You can add files from both My Drive and Shared Drives
However, there are some limitations to the Roles and Permissions attached to your Google Account to perform actions on specific files
You should have at least one of the following permissions:
- Owner
- Organizer
- File Organizer
- Editor
We don't allow adding files for which you only have Commenter or Reader access.
Otherwise, we won't be able to run syncs and update your document.
If you add a file that doesn't have enough permissions, the following error will be displayed:
You do not have enough permissions on this presentation.
In this case, please review your editor access or ask the file owner to provide the appropriate access.
